Frequently asked
Do my files get uploaded anywhere?
Not unless you deliberately turn on one feature. Every edit — merging, signing, OCR, redaction, encryption — runs on your own computer, and 1TruePDF does not need a network connection to do its work.
The one exception is the optional AI document assistant. It is off until you add your own OpenAI, Claude or Gemini API key, and when you use it the text of the open document is sent to whichever of those you chose, under your account. We never see it, and it is never sent anywhere else.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes, completely. Open it on a plane and everything still works.
Which platforms are supported?
macOS 12 or later (Apple silicon and Intel) and Windows 10 or later.
Will it add a watermark to my documents?
Never. The only watermark that appears is one you add yourself.
Can it read scanned documents?
Yes. Built-in OCR recognises text in scans in dozens of languages, and you can copy the result or export it as a text file.
Can I undo a mistake?
